Mandatory Arrival Card Requirement
All travellers to Taiwan are required to apply for a mandatory Online Arrival Card before arrival. The Online Arrival card can be applied for here free of charge.
The following categories are not required to submit an Arrival card:
Registered residents in Taiwan (including permanent and alien residents)
Foreign national holding diplomatic ID card issued by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Please note that the Online Arrival card is not an electronic visa, it is simply an electronic form replacing the paper form that travellers had to fill out before arrival.
Visa Exempt
A visa is not required for this destination for a stay of up to 90 days. Please keep in mind that while a visa is not required, you must:
Obtain a visa prior to travel if you hold
a criminal record
Hold a passport valid for at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
Hold proof of sufficient funds
Hold proof of onward/return flights
Hold documents showing proof of purpose of trip
Hold all documents required for the next destination
Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
